We are now accepting applications for the 2025 Widener-Bega Scholarship! We encourage all eligible students to apply.

 Established in 1995 by Timber Ridge PTA President Beth Bega and Timber Ridge Principal Mary Kay Widener, the Widener-Bega Scholarships honor Timber Ridge graduates who exemplify the values of Learning, Caring, and Sharing throughout their school careers. These scholarships are awarded based on merit and are not dependent on financial need. All funds are paid directly to the student’s college and not to the student personally.

 For 2025, each scholarship award is $1,000, and up to three scholarships will be granted:

• Two scholarships for expected graduates of Pope High School, Walton High School, or a Cobb County magnet high school.

• One scholarship for a special education student graduating from Pope or Walton High School.

Students residing in the Pope or Walton districts who attend a Cobb County magnet, charter, or private high school are also eligible.
