May 2024 General Meeting Notice

BYLAWS AMENDMENT NOTICE

Join us for voting Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Timber Ridge Gym.

The Timber Ridge Elementary School PTA Executive Board proposes the following amendments to our bylaws:

Change the amount of the PTA Membership to account for increased dues owed to Georgia PTA and amount of anticipated increased dues owed to National PTA.

Article V, Section 7 currently reads: “Each member of this local PTA/PTSA shall pay annual dues of 5 to said association. The amount of such annual dues shall include the portion payable to the Georgia PTA and the portion payable to the National PTA.”

Proposed new Article V, Section 7: “Each member of this local PTA/PTSA shall pay annual dues of ten dollars and no cents ($10.00). The amount of such annual dues shall include the portion payable to the Georgia PTA and the portion payable to the National PTA.”

Reason for the Proposed Change: The Georgia PTA dues are increasing and the National PTA is proposing similar changes.
